Welcome to another newsletter and thanks for opening this email and taking the time to read, skim or just browse the photos! Thank you :)
It’s been a BUSY week here with lots of fun breifs and adventures in content creation so let’s have a little look at it all shall we!?
Housekeeping
If you are at all curious on how to work with brands and get PAID then check out my latest YouTube video for some hot tips, advice, confessions and more all whilst I open many packages and share goodies with you! Watch below and comment if you have any questions.
Next week we are heading to Melbourne and will be visiting the team at Ikigai Film Lab as well as a few other fun things like shooting content at QT hotel which I am so so excited about! Stay tuned for more on that in the coming weeks.
Joe’s Deli Strikes Again
If you follow me on IG you will know that I shoot regularly for Joe’s Deli in my local area. I literally walked into the store when it opened and thought “Fuck, this place is so sick” and we took some shots on black and white, as that was all we had and I sent them via IG…and the rest is history!
Since then I have worked on every new sandwich, merch or venue opening Joe’s have done and it’s super cool to be able to get so creative with a client.
Recently I was tasked with shooting a group of people sipping on the new beers that are about to drop and I thought it would be the perfect time to try out the fish eye lens that I got from TT artisans recently. Loving the vibe of this lens for Joe’s as they have that very 90’s hip hop/skate culture type vibe so it just fits so well.
For anyone interested I have linked the lens below . Whilst it’s not your everyday lens of course, it is very cool and so perfect for certain things to get a distinct look and vibe happening! Stay tuned for more Joe’s on film shots coming soon!
Fun In The Sun
Summer is in full swing here and tbh I am kind of looking forward to cooler weather because it has been HOT HOT HOT!
On the upside we have included some fun beach trips in amongst our work load. Check out this shot below - I am so in love with using flash in the day like this just to add extra pop to a shot and make a product really stand out!
These have all been edited using my warm film LR preset which you can grab here if you are wanting to try it out. We are working on a new preset at the moment that is inspired by the underexposed style of work that Henrik Purienne shoots for brands like YSL. Can’t wait to get it exactly where we want it and share it with you all! Here is a sneak peek of it while you wait…
And because you all know how much I love and adore film here is a shot that feels very me and reminds me of how all this got started. I will always be sucker for a trolley and a bin no matter how much my career progresses. Thanks for reading guys, I’ll see you next week. Love Lucy xx
Fun stuff! I love playing with fish eyes. Nicely done.
I bought a 11mm lens from TTArtisans recently And I absolutely love that lens! It is so fun to get funky with it!
