This week I have teamed up with camera sling experts Hung Supply so keep reading for more details on how to win big - p.s there is film up for grabs as well!
Linc is a legend of a guy and I have to say that his camera carry gear cannot be beaten. I use my sling for work all the time and Lux and I share it when we are out and about as it will fit an SLR and a point and shoot nicely.
Aside from making the best camera accessories, Linc and his partner Nat are also chasing their dreams with not one, but two, businesses of their very own and I just think that is so fucking cool! Todays guest has connections to music, surf + skate culture and of course, photography. So he just can’t go wrong with me!
I love the support he shows the community and I urge you guys to submit some work via #hungsupply or just flick Linc a DM to say hello and let him know what resonated with you from this chat.

Hey Linc, thanks for joining us here at Love Lucy! Can you tell us a bit about yourself and where you are in the world?
Hey Lucy, I love what you're doing to support the photography and camera community, so thank you kindly for having me!
My name is Lincoln and I'm currently based in Newcastle, Australia. I quit my day job to go all-in starting two brands with my partner, Nat. Hung Supply is a sling goods and camera carry brand designed for the creative communities that always inspired me as a photographer. FLIPKIP is a pillowcase brand and sleep essentials brand.
Tell us more about the beginning of things at Hung Supply?
Hung Supply started as a sketch on a piece of paper on the kitchen bench that has kept me up countless nights ever since. About three and a half years ago, I decided I was going to start a camera bag brand as I didn't like the current offering of camera bags and straps that were available. There were a lot of brands that were just doing the same thing as each other and I felt there was space to create an original photography brand with community at the heart of it...
Having no idea where to start, I threw myself in the deep end, working late nights, long weekends, extra jobs and every spare moment to bootstrap this crazy notion. It was a journey. The world shutting down for a year and a half didn't help either. However, I persevered and now my house is basically a warehouse for camera bags, ha. So far, it's been one of my most challenging yet rewarding experiences to date.
What did you see was missing in the camera carry space that pushed you to run with your ideas?
Luggin' camera gear ain't no fun. I wanted to create everyday camera bags, that look good, and that people could take with them everywhere. When shooting on the move, sometimes, you only want to take the essentials: a camera body, an extra lens, a few rolls of film, or an extra battery. I found this to be the case whenever I was travelling or shooting live music. I'd shot many gigs where I would end up at the pub afterwards – it was a likely outcome based on the working environment. However, I hated having to heave around a camera backpack in these instances. Occasionally, I would resort to throwing my camera in a tote bag. I see so many of my camera buddies doing the same thing – sometimes with dire consequences. So I created a range of camera bags that can be put to work but can also tag along on your daily excursions or your nights out.
They're designed like a camera bag to protect your gear (they actually have more padding and features than some of our camera bag competitors). However, they look like a day bag...
You seem to love getting the community involved on your blog with features and interviews. Have you always been someone who loves to connect with other creatives?
My happiest moments with photography are when I'm connecting with other photographers and creatives.
I used to work in-house at Monster Children as a photographer and content + community manager, which allowed me to network with a global community of photographers and meet some really cool people. I guess my MC creative community is what inspired me to start Hung Supply. I wanted to create products that my friends would use, whether shooting film, skate, live music or street.
Hung Supply and the online magazine allow me to celebrate photography. I see the brand as a platform to support our creative photography community and give them tools and a platform to push their craft and showcase their work. The blog is just one of many ways to do so. We've also put on group photography exhibitions and collab with other photography brands and photo labs.
I see a big 90’s influence in the Hung Supply content and a lot of surfers and skaters seem to love your gear! I’m wondering if youth culture is something that got you into photography in the first place and if so are there any people, videos, brands that have really inspired you in that space?
I grew up in the 90s and the early 00s when action-sports brands were big and logos were bold. If you weren't surfing or skating after school, you were watching VHS surf movies or playing Tony Hawk on PS1. My first camera was my mum's old Ricoh A100 camera which I'd play around with. Or, my friends and I would get our hands on the family handy cam and we'd make little surf and skate movies and take photos of each other. I always loved photography. However, it wasn't until I came across Monster Children Magazine that I got really inspired to take more photos. MC was largely focused on surfing, skate, music, art and youth culture, and in regards to magazines, there was nothing like it at the time when it came out. I read their yearly Photo Annual and the next day I went out and purchased my first proper digital camera and enrolled in photography school. I told myself I was going to work for Monster Children and four years later, I was.
Talk to us about your own photography Linc. What kind of stuff catches your eye and what are you shooting with these days, film or digi?
I've always had a hard time sharing my photography, as I've always been my own worst critic and a massive perfectionist. I stopped shooting commercial stuff as I'd always feel this huge pressure to deliver. It's also probably another reason why I like sharing other people's photography as opposed to my own. However, I have a fondness for shooting people at gigs and street photography as I love trying to capture those fly-on-the-wall moments that make people stop and ponder what's going on in the frame.
When I first started the brand, I was so focused on the day-to-day of running the business that I stopped taking photos. However, recently, I've been super inspired by our photo community and chatting with other photographers and I'm getting back into it. I'm shooting mostly for fun and I'm really enjoying pocketable cameras (film + digi). I'm just trying to capture fun random moments with friends, family, or out and about. I guess I've gone full circle and I'm just taking shitty photos of whatever I like... haha. It's like I'm 12 again – it's nice and there's no pressure.
What is the number one bestseller from your line-up and why?
Currently, it's the Sidewalk Camera Sling, we've been moving units and it's currently sold out but we have a big shipment en route at the moment (join the waitlist). The Sidewalk is compact for a camera sling, accessible, and comfy as hell, making it the perfect bag for rolling the streets, shooting a gig, or exploring a new city. However, its also well-padded, so it will keep your gear safe too – very important. It also comes with a detachable camera strap and hidden lens cloth.
We sell so many of the Roscoe Camera Pouch too – it's the perfect everyday bag for photographers and non-photographers alike as it can house a small point-and-shoot camera, phone, keys, wallet or your other daily paraphernalia. You can take it anywhere and it's very non-intrusive.
Are there any new products or exciting things coming soon with Hung Supply that you can give the readers a little info on?
Yes, we're working on an entirely new collection which we hope to drop by the end of the year – some exciting new bags are coming. We also have a new merch range dropping soon and a handful of collab capsules with some of our favorite brands, so stay tuned.
Where can people submit their work, say hi and shop all things sling goods and camera carry?
We're always looking for new photographers to feature and love it when people drop us a line! Photogs can submit their work or photo stories via features@hungsupply.com or tag us on Instagram via #hungsupply. If people want to cop the product, they can grab it online via www.hungsupply.com or check us out in one of our retail partners: FilmNeverDie, Afterlife Store, Hemley Skate, Daytrip Store and Finbox.

I love smaller camera bags, they are so much easier to carry your gear around in without breaking your back or straining your shoulders! I do have a big camera rucksack, but I don't use it much outside of the house these days. It keeps some of my gear safely indoors. But I try to just pick out the items I will need for the day and use a much smaller bag. These bags look great.
