NEW YEARS CARES - ISSUE 22
Last days of 2022
I’m not sure if you noticed but this newsletter is actually going out a little later than normal because I went into full holiday mode and had no concept of time!
I like to keep my promises though, so I jumped straight on here to write to you guys and get one last newsletter in before we welcome in the new year.
Last NYE
So last new years eve Lux and I spent the evening at home drinking vino and using a few different lighting set ups to make some cool portraits! We made a video about it which you can watch below if you missed it earlier this year.
We had fun listening to records and getting creative for the evening and it felt good to be back in front of the camera again. Since then we have done a few shoots but nothing stylized or planned out.
This New Years Eve we will be continuing the tradition and doing another shoot at home but this time with a different look. We will use the Nikon F100 we got recently and a flash of some kind - I will leave that up to Lux - and this time incorporate our dinner into the shoot which will probably be pasta. My fav thing to eat.
I’m thinking red lipstick slurping up strands of spaghetti in luscious red sauce and a white t shirt!?! Use the flash to make it all pop and throw some shots in of the wine we are drinking and the other assortments of Italiano vibes we have going on.
Of course there will be a video or a newsletter or something sharing all of this with you so keep an eye out for that in 2023!

Podcast Revamp
The podcast is getting a new song, new name and new episode structure and release schedule in 2023 so things will be a bit different. I have one more bonus episode as part of this season and that will go out in January. Then I will be rolling out these new changes so keep an eye out.

I also just opened some super rad stickers from the L.A. company 35 till Death and they are pretty cool!! I love a sticker and have quite the collection now. Check them out here to get yourself some.
Fellow Aussie film shooter Ashlee Tough also just started selling some prints all done locally and they look beautiful so def go check them out and give her some love for putting her work out there in that way!
