Housekeeping
Do you feel like this year is just flying by? I do! Each month is filled with more exciting projects and something new I am working on or towards and before I know it the month is gone.
When I don’t have much time I like to turn to photos to do the talking for me, which is what this issue will be focusing on. Sharing photos in this newsletter is way more appealing than on IG too so I hope you enjoy the uncropped full image free from hashtags, algos and distractions.
These are all scans I got back last week and it was the first time in a while I had rolls of film to send away that weren’t something to do with work or for a video. Shooting this way is when I feel I make my best work as there is no pressure or time limit and I solely shoot just what catches my eye.
This kind of work is normally what makes it over to the print shop as well - since it’s the work I am proud of and feel is an accurate representation of my vision and style. Knowing that some of these images may end up on the print shop also gently reminds me to really dial in my focus and composition, creating an end result that I feel is worthy of hanging on a wall. Hopefully at least…
So a select few of the images you see here are now available to purchase as prints in a range of papers, sizes and also framed options. If there is something you can’t see on the shop that you would like to own as a print please get in touch with me and I will sort that out for you.
As always thank you for reading and being here. Subscribe if you aren’t already as I have a giveaway coming up with Aussie brand Hung Supply as well as a fun interview with Matt Murray about his new Japan zine!
It’s interesting how someone’s visual language can be so much like a spoken language in that, over time, looking at a person’s work, it starts to make sense in a way it might not have originally. I get that with your photographs. It’s really like learning a new language.
The pool image really impressed me! Such a nice photo!
