A Time Poor Issue With More Photos Than Words.

Do you feel like this year is just flying by? I do! Each month is filled with more exciting projects and something new I am working on or towards and before I know it the month is gone.

When I don’t have much time I like to turn to photos to do the talking for me, which is what this issue will be focusing on. Sharing photos in this newsletter is way more appealing than on IG too so I hope you enjoy the uncropped full image free from hashtags, algos and distractions.

These are all scans I got back last week and it was the first time in a while I had rolls of film to send away that weren’t something to do with work or for a video. Shooting this way is when I feel I make my best work as there is no pressure or time limit and I solely shoot just what catches my eye.

This kind of work is normally what makes it over to the print shop as well - since it’s the work I am proud of and feel is an accurate representation of my vision and style. Knowing that some of these images may end up on the print shop also gently reminds me to really dial in my focus and composition, creating an end result that I feel is worthy of hanging on a wall. Hopefully at least…

More Adox in the bright QLD sun.

I called this scene an absolute jackpot and Lux laughed at my enthusiasm for literal trash on the ground. Also shot on Adox.

I can’t think of a more Lucy friendly scene. This was shot on Fujic200 with my T4 at the Gallery Of Modern Art in Brisbane.

My quest for anything red continues. This was shot on my Nikon L35AW which is super sharp and I love the way the flash has made the red pop!

I really love the composition of this and the yellow, blue and red colors that would probably go unnoticed otherwise.

Another Adox number. I love the sections here of the brick pavers, the icy blue pool water and then this corner of a shadow coming in to create a third element really gives the shot an unexpected quality.

To finish off, how epic is this shot of Bill Corgan live on stage performing with The Smashing Pumpkins. Shot by Lux Lumen on Ilford Delta 3200 on the Nikon FM2n. Killer shot!
