Been a slow year for me and bit of a creative lul, so I thought to force myself to get going and shoot vastly different things I would enter a few competitions. I have 3 that I need to get a photo for by the end of May. Not a lot of time left 😬. But having so much fun scouting location, and taking photos with a certain theme in mind
I purchased a brick of Portra 160 to shoot in Myrtle Beach South Carolina for our vacation next month at the beach. I’m very excited because of the iso of 160.
I just returned from a two week trip back to my hometown/province, and took my entire pile of film with me (and probably too many cameras!). While I didn't have any sort of plan heading out there, I ended up inadvertently sparking a photozine project about the city I grew up in, and how it has changed in the relatively short period since I lived there.
Before I left, I did an amazing photo session with my roommates' death metal band for their upcoming LP and other promo material, which helped me discover that I want to do more band shoots going forward.
In addition to all of that, I've got two other photozines in the works: one is about my photographic journey through the pandemic, and the other is three years of my punk gig photos (all digital shots) .
Now I just need to find some money to process this massive backlog of film I've shot!
