This is one of the most important pieces you have written, and so so so much in here that I wish beginner me knew.

This is my favorite:

“Just because you enjoy it doesn’t mean it should be cheaper”

Thank you so much ☺️ that is wonderful to hear and I’m so glad it’s helpful. I was a little nervous writing this as I don’t have all the answers but thought it could be helpful to share anyway. Thanks for reading

Really like this series for budding photographers!! I am in the boat of making my photography a bit more serious so this helped a lot! Could you compile these series in one place ? Maybe it take the away from the larger audience if you did that😊Thanks Hrish

So glad to hear that this series has been helpful to you. All four issues of this series are easily found on my substack profile and they stay published and free forever so you can come back to them at any time.

I had a journalism teacher tell our class to never do work for absolutely free because everyone has value.

interesting take, but when I think of $$, as a Disability pensioner, and emerging artist, it saddens me, as this is a barrier to what we do, to getting the film, gear, developing costs, All in their own ways STOPPING things, its an excuse NOT to do something, or for charges, ie your $1K 'buy in' means in this economy... we can't afford it! if people would realise this, and not be as arrogant in setting such high prices.....more jobs =( less cost + more people through)^trust factor = a viable, prosperous future. easy to see, if you look from below, not Above!
