Thanks for sharing this. It's good to know I'm not the only one who can't stay or is scared of long projects. The projects I'm working on now are kinda long but my trick is to split them in to chapters.

Did not know about the book, thanks for the heads up. I worked with him a lot as Def American was just walking distance from the Warner Bros. Records offices in Burbank.

I watched your YouTube video this weekend. As a musician I knew about Rick and his accomplishments as he has products the bands I like. I had no idea about his book so that’s going to my reading list now 😊. Also thanks for sharing a video while back on getting Substack because of that I started mine 😊

Thanks for this! I came across the video on YouTube. I just read the book and wanted to write about it, too. Then I got nervous about what I wanted to share. This video was a good reminder that I needed to get over the fear and just post!

Hi Lucy, I just downloaded the PDF of this book and started reading it. I believe that we really shouldn't care whether or not others like what we share. Unless we're being paid to do what we're creating, it's ours and we're the only ones who need to like it. We can listen to positive critique from those whose opinions we care about but, ultimately, it's OUR art.
